If you’re a fan, there’s some bad news to report Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, Lindsey Turner & show runners Gregg Mettler‘S Kurtwood Smith & Debra Jo Rupp-with That 90s show. Tonight, Smith announced on Instagram that the series has been canceled after two seasons. “I know you’ve been asking me when season 3 is coming, but I have difficult news…Netflix will not be renewing. I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all the fans around the world who supported and watched the show. Smith began his post (which you can read below) by noting that the plan is to try to move the show to a new home. To give you a better sense of the difficulties the spin-off sequel series faced, it’s worth noting that the eight-episode Part 3 (delayed from October 24th to August 22nd) was never released following its release charts (it attracted less than 1.9 million viewers on the opening weekend, so less). than 1.6 million in the first full week and less than 1.4 million in the second week).

Here’s a look at Smith’s post confirming the bad news – followed by the full text of his message:

I know you’ve been asking me when season 3 is coming, but I have difficult news…Netflix will not be renewing. I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all the fans around the world who supported and watched the show. When I’m traveling, you’ve come up to me in random parts of the world and reached out to me on social media and have just been so wonderful. I loved every minute of bringing Grandpa Red to life for you all. I’ve said it before, but it’s worth saying again… This show has so much heart and the most wonderful cast, writers, directors, producers and crew for an actor to work with. Thank you for letting Red and Kitty, their grandchild, all of their grandchildren’s friends and neighbors, the original cast of That 70’s Show, and all of our wonderful guest cast entertain you for two seasons. To steal Red Forman’s words: We won’t be fools, we’ll buy the show, because good grandparents would go to great lengths to get these kids a high school diploma. #That90sShow #bestfansever 🙏🧀
