While it’s devastating that the SyFy network canceled ChuckyAt least there are a lot of sensational new horror series coming to the screen this Halloween season. Out ofone of my personal favorites, just premiered its third season, and for better or worse, Ryan Murphy’s latest horror series, grotesquejust landed on FX and Hulu.

Totally killer Star Julie Bowen will appear in it Hysteria! alongside Bruce Campbell at the end of October. Most recently Ian McCullochs Teacup is scheduled to be released on October 10th by Peacock. This series in particular has received the praise of Stephen King, who called the new show “All killer, no filler.”

Check out a trailer and synopsis below:

Per peacock: Teacup follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together to survive in the face of a mysterious threat. Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon.

Teacup Stars Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter), Scott Speedman (The strangers), Chase Spencer and Kathy Baker. Not much is known about the series other than what the trailer reveals. James Wan from The incantation And Insidious fame (or Malignantif you are that kind of person). There seems to be a lot of impressive horror imagery, including a scary guy in a gas mask, and that was enough to catapult Stephen King to heaven.

In a tweet about the series: Stephen King remarked: “Teacup: If you want Out of or LostI think you’ll like this.” He then shares his thoughts on the show, particularly putting the gas mask man in the spotlight. You can check out his entire tweet embedded below:

Peacock itself cheekily replied that the series was now “King Approved”. While your October catalog might be chock-full of horrors, it sounds like it Teacup It’s worth making some space for it. This isn’t the first horror show Stephen King has recommended this year either. The master of horror remains a big fan of MGM+s Out of. Recently, King joined the chorus of voices begging for the Paramount+ series Evil must be renewed After it was announced that the series’ fourth season would be its last.

Stephen King loves horror and overall he has never led me astray. Teacup looks scary and I’m excited to try it out myself. The gas mask man will no doubt haunt my nightmares for months to come.

What do you think? Does Teacup look as scary as it sounds? How often do Stephen King’s recommendations work for you? Let me know on Twitter @Chadiscollins.
