Springfield police and Crime Stoppers are searching for clues in the theft of a lawn mower valued at $28,000

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) – The Springfield Police Department and Sangamon/Menard County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people responsible for the theft of two lawn mowers valued a total of $28,000.

Police officials said the robbery occurred the morning of Sept. 25 at Farm & Home Supply on North Dirksen Parkway. Officers responded to an alarm at the business and discovered someone had broken into the building and stolen two zero-turn lawnmowers. The mowers, a Cub Cadet ZT150 and a Kawasaki 160 Pro, were each valued at over $14,000.

Anyone with information about this or any other crime in Sangamon County can anonymously share their knowledge with Crime Stoppers. Any information leading to an arrest will also be rewarded with $2,500 cash.
