Another Girls' Success in Photography Training

This is a blog about another girls success in photography training through Cameras for Girls Uganda. Patience Natukunda is a young girl, who runs a blog about everything going on in Uganda and joined the training this year to enhance her photos for her blog.

Hello, my name is Natukunda Patience Mary aka Patie Polly. I’m in my mid 20’s(feels like I can still travel the world before I age) I hail from the western part of Uganda though I have done my studies, work and stay in Kampala. I pursued Journalism and Mass communication at campus and now work with a media company www.chimpreports.com in the marketing department, client relations management and editing. I’m a writer and I run a blog (patiepolly.blogspot.com).

In April this year, a workmate told me about the photography training she had attended the previous year and my immediate reaction was, ”I need to learn some photography basics if there is a chance.”
She gave me the contacts of the person who could avail to me more about the training, Mr Venex and in June, I met with 15 other  girls who had come for the same cause.

Mrs Amina Mohamed, apart from having an incredible selfless heart also possesses camera skills that got me wondering, ”how the hell does she accommodate all this in her head” on our first day of the engaging three day training. I must say Amina and our other trainers were patient with me, us and the cornerstone they have laid in my career is an immense one. I do appreciate.

I hope to continue practicing now that my excuse of “I don’t have a camera, I don’t want to carry company equipment with me” is no more. Thanks Amina and your partners for this lifetime opportunity”

Below are some more of the images that Patience has been taking as of late.
