Introducing Diana Asiimwe

I love training girls in photography and it fills my heart when the work I do is meaningful and I can see that the girls are taking every opportunity to learn what is being taught to them, practice and use the skills and the camera to explore their career opportunities. Diana has been doing assignments and attending camp to learn editing and filmmaking.

"My name is Asiimwe Diana Ahimbisibwe and I am 22 years old. I have always wanted to learn the art of photography but in Uganda it is quite costly even for a short course in photography. I once had a paid opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming a photographer but turned it down because I thought I did not have what it takes to become a professional photographer. I later realized that I had just wasted a great opportunity that I would never get back. Then I discovered Triple F Photo Tours that offers free photography training for girls. In that moment, I knew this was my second chance and took up the training immediately. I have never been the same because I have learned and I am still learning a lot that has to do with photography. I am grateful to Amina Mohamed and her team for extending such a generous opportunity to girls like me in Uganda."

Teaching the girls basic photography skills over 3 days and then watching them as they keep learning with partners on the ground in Uganda as well as our group work on Whatsapp is not only life changing for them but for me as well :)

This program cannot succeed without help from the community at large. If you are interested in helping a girl learn photography, we are asking for financial donations and/or new or used cameras.
