The Little Girl In Uganda That Captured My Heart
On our way to the airport for my departure, we were driving on the outskirts of Kampala towards Entebbe, when I saw this little girl sitting next to her mom selling fruits and vegetables.
She was waving at me so I raised my camera and she smiled - I took her photo, while we were going around the round-about and hoped against all odds that I got the shot.
She captured my heart as do the Ugandan people in general.
Many girls especially in Uganda are not in school because they are expected to help at the market, work the fields or take care of the younger children in the house. This was daytime, so I suppose that was her fate.
With the photography training I am doing in Uganda I hope to change the fate of other girls like her.
