International Coffee Day In Uganda

Last week was International Coffee Day in Uganda - a new bill is being proposed to provide women growers more autonomy, control and more of the profits in the long chain of the coffee export.

Coffee being the largest export after tourism, but while there are many growers, they don't always see the fruits of their labour.

My student Sharon Kyatusiimire covered the story for her local paper in Uganda. She took the photos and wrote the stories.

The camera's and the training are empowering the girls to reach their goals :)
